Wow what a day!! From Spokane Washington through Idaho and ending up in Bozeman, Montana where I had made reservations for the night.
I did not realize it but the rise from Spokane was a steady uphill passing the Continental Divide at 3,393 feet and from there down onto a plateau or should I say several plateau's going up and down mountain ranges. All I could tell was that it was getting colder and the mountains I could see ahead were getting closer. In Montana , about an hour out of ...
Today I went down to Yellowstone park. Again it was a cold ride - I started off at 7:30 am before the sun had risen above the valley my route took me. The ride home although very wet was much warmer.
Within 10 minutes of arriving at the park I saw 2 female elks, an eagle sitting on her eggs in a nest and a small herd off buffalo. Later on in the day I took a photo of a bull buffalo and I stood 10 feet away from him with no fence to protect him !! Once I had shot the picture, the buffa...

Bozeman, Montana, United States nicandjessicaWe spent a second day at Yellowstone Park, visiting the Mud Volcano and Sulphur Caldrons along the road from Fishing Bridge to Canyon Village. It was quite amazing to see large pools of mud boiling. There was a cave that seam and boiling water came out of with a loud noise called Dragon's Mouth Spring. There were some wonderful falls on the Yellowstone River in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. After having lunch in Canon Village we continued on to Norris and visited some of the geysers ...

Bozeman, Montana, United States scher-airWe were a day early getting to our reserved spot at the Yellowstone North entrance so this site was recommended to us. It was a nice relaxing park right by the Yellowstone River. The river is swift flowing and not very deep. It seems like most of the people here flyfish and the current moves them swiftly north and I am not quite sure how they get back it seems like a heck of alot of rowing.

Didn't do much today but relax.

He had forgotten that I moved away a year ago, but it was good to see him! Everything seems to take twice as long, with all of the gear required, etc. It's all worth it, because little Piper is super cute. I got to be there for her first hike, where we went up to Grotto Falls. This is in the Gallatin National Forest. Dean and I went ...

In the end I usually end up rushing the last preparations, which very often results in the situation where I am standing outside with the kids and Echo and there I realize that I forgot to bring a ton of things, so I run back and forth between the house and outside. It actually even happened once that I thought that I had ...
Bozeman, Montana, United States mereleeThe first few days in Bozeman we spent skiing at Bridger Bowl. The conditions were powder everyday! They trained avalanche guide dogs at Bridger so that was really neat to see. Over the next few days we meandered around Bozeman, went to two hot springs (white sulfur, and I forget the other one), and visited the land my boyfriends parents bought.
