We got back at 6:30pm on Saturday 7/26. The last drive was a lot easier than we thought it would be and we made great time! According to google it's a 9 hour drive straight through and we made it in 10! Only 3 stops which certainly felt like our most efficient drive :-)
So here are some trip stats / facts:

... a bottle of Tito’s. By the time they had returned the band had started playing and our buddy Andy (who we went to UW with and lives in Austin) and his girlfriend were on their way to meet us. We spent the rest of the night drinking, talking and enjoying some good ole’ Texas country music.
The next morning we slept in, got packed up, enjoyed some homemade biscuits (thank you again Christina) and headed out. I thouroughly enjoyed our short time ...
... before we ordered. You order the cooked meats you want by weight & the sides & bread & it is packed in front of you in a grease paper lined crate which you take with you to find yourself a table. The atmosphere is very loud & rowdy but extremely happy & friendly, like nothing I've seen at home in Australia. And the food itself of course is moist & tender with flavour to die for!! Think that's enough for one post, onto Vegas ...
... the air, fresh from the park next door! How very considerate of them!
On our walk back past the Blues, we passed many of the little food stalls Austin is also known for. Little food trucks and street side food vans converted into eateries. Its really quite a funky city. Being radical seems to be the cities motto!

... had never eaten anything like it before in our lives, a super sweet thick syrup with delicious cinnamon oozing out of all sides. We did a bit of shopping and ate some amazing Chicken and cheese wrapped in Jalapeņos and amazing single serve Nachos. Costing a total of $10. Still cannot get over how cheap food is in America!!!! We continued on our shopping spree and ended up walking 14ks in total. Our feet were not impressed, especially after walking all day in ...
