... Yes, she did. When Kathy came into this world as a naked little newborn, she had a left hip and a right hip. Fast forward some decades and she now has a left hip and a pile of junk. Cartilage? Girlfriend, she ain't got none of that. On her right side, she has the ball of her femur head grinding away in her acetabulum (ass-eh-TAB-yoo-lum. The hip socket). The bones are misshapen, misaligned and worn out. It's a total mess in there.
