      On the road home

A travel blog entry by dkauten on Feb 15, 2015

Picked up the car at our friends, the Meadors. Hitting the road for Atlanta. Wow, it's been a whirlwind expedition! Feels like we've been gone for months. Can't believe how much we've seen and all the places that we've been in the last 26 days. I will certainly view so many of the places we've visited with a different set of eyes and opinions ...

      The Road to New Orleans

A travel blog entry by rabiensaul on Oct 22, 2014

... make natural choices where to stop on the left, before the right hand side of the road. We phoned a place that said it was $49 a night, and they had vacancies. I said its just for one night as we are headed to Atlanta tomorrow. The lady who served us was Indian, from a place just out of Mumbai. I have found with every Indian person I have met thus far, they hear what they initially perceive is an English sounding accent, and they want to talk cricket. Our room was on the ...

Looking at the world through a windshield

... three weeks like this and staying in camping cabins also, it was like being a kid at camp again! It also allowed us to do more activities that made the trip more fun. Something that I didn’t expect... we really haven't watched the news or TV for three weeks. I've pretty much been oblivious to what's going on in this country or in the world, and it's been really nice. REALLY nice! That in itself was a huge bonus. I ...
