... receptionist at the hotel ( he has a waxed mustache gentle reader and he's under 30 ;so what's going on in his head?) told us the historic architecture was "cool". Left Ft. Worth about 8:45 in overcast skies which made for a nice cool ride. The ride got even cooler when I hit Sweet Water TX- had about 1 hour of medium rain -enough to get me wet but not enough to stop and put on rain gear. At least a million more phone calls this morning...returned to Schnucks to wait for a mobile mechanic from Big Boys Towing (ha!) to get our hydraulics working so we can get the slide back in and the jacks up so it can be towed. We have to say that if we were going to break down this is a very safe and friendly place to be stuck. Everyone has offered help, Popsicles, advice on our hockey team, you name it. Yesterday we picked up the bikes from Eagle Rider, this took an hour or so to get the paperwork done.
