... on our bikes. After we got lost, we found a lady at the local Target store who directed us to the street where we could find the dealership. Elizabeth got her bike checked and discovered she would not be able to order a tire until Monday. As we prepared to leave, Lynne's bike would not start. She rolled the bike into the shop and the mechanic actually removed the battery. Upon observation, he said, it was visibly expanded out ...
New Orleans to Alexandria (21/06)
Up early to pack as we didn't do it last night (we are rubbish at packing the night before, everything you go to pack you think "I might need that in the morning" so you end up just leaving it. Well that is our excuse!). Checked out and got a taxi to the Avis Rental location to pick up our Mazda 2. Then it will be early ...

I'm not complaining though because with the humidity I will take any air conditioning I can ...
After a light shower overnight (we stayed dry), today was absolutely perfect. We relaxed all day, doing our own little things. Sherry read her book on a float in the water, Debby laid on her lawn chair in the sun, and I went for a long walk exploring the campground. We had grilled pork chops (not squirrel) for dinner, with wild rice, and French cut green beans with sautéed onions and mushrooms. The bathhouse showers are nasty here (thank God for shower shoes) and tonight was ...
