Yesterday was a trip south to Padre Island National Seashore. I don't know why it's not a National Park, but it's classified as a National Seashore.There are camping and picnic areas and an ongoing project to protect sea turtles. This is the sea turtle catch and release program, where nests are found during spring and moved to protected area untl they hatch and are released.
