... Reached my boarding gate at 4.45pm. Didn't even stop to use the toilet, so am holding on till I get to Washington DC. There were thunderstorms around Houston so we had to skirt around these, then also more storms as we flew over Atlanta Georgia. It's 7.15pm now and starting to get dark outside. We fly through a time zone so will land at 8pm Louisiana time, but will be 9pm Washington ...

Marie had thought it would only take 2 1/2 hours to drive to Byers Texas to see Linda June. But when she checked on line, it showed 6 1/2 hours!. Then because Marie didn't want to drive through Dallas, we didn't use the Interstate freeway, but used smaller roads, making it a 9 1/2 hour trip Was an interesting trip with plenty of time for Marie and I to talk and get to know about each other's lives. No air conditioning in the car, so had to ...

There is a competition amongst them to see who could eat the most donuts and Si was the winner. He was paid up ...

... in the pool but the water was really cold!

We took a late evening walk so Kallen could 'rock hunt'. He insisted on taking some rocks home!

We leave tomorrow for Lake Charles and board our train around 2pm. We'll be home on Tuesday! Kallen is getting homesick and thought we were going to be home tomorrow....poor guy!

Picked up a great idea today ...

      WISH DAY! Day 6.

... and their families! Such strong, independent, beautiful kids! This was a day of no hospitals or the like. IT WAS THEIR DAY!

You would never know by looking at these beautiful kids that they have been through so much. They are a blessing to all of us. These kiddos are fighters! We met Trey and his parents; it was a joy and privilege watching his happiness today. (Trey has Proteus Syndrome and he and his Mom travel to Maryland twice a year for ...
