Today we arrive at our site at the Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area on Fort Sill. After getting set up the first thing on the to do list is lunch at the Meers Store in Meers. When we were stationed here back in the late 70's early 80's, this was The Place for hamburgers. The owners have changed, but the hamburgers have not. They grow their own beef (longhorns) and grind it on the lean side as opposed to fatty side. Their menu says that they ...
