      ... was a family trip to the viking city of York. We took advantage of the excellent Park and Ride arrangements and arrived very effortlessly at foot of the Castle - attractively round and very cosy (according to my mum!). The views of the city from the top were fantastic. Then we were off to the Jorvik Viking Centre.       Went to Floors Castle today it was incredibly amazing ,still in the family and used as the family home and that came through.       ... through the countryside on relatively small roads before we got on to a more normal motorway in England. We used the bypass to avoid the Newcastle city centre and headed to our planned stop at Durham to see the Durham Cathedral and Castle.
