LA for a night...
Well here we are day one and we haven't even left the country yet but let the "vacation" begin. Just a quick one night stay in LA and I think that's all I need of this city. Only in LA
... saving over $240 was enough incentive to get into the car and drive it….. We were booked on the 11am tour, so we left our Anaheim hotel at 8:30am and gingerly made our way toward the carpark – er freeway toward Los Angeles and specifically to Hollywood.
We made it by 10am, parked the car in the carpark suggested by Starline, and then collected the tickets. We were right outside Graumann's Chinese Theatre, so we had plenty ...
A step back in time for a night
... d expect these days but everything worked well and I had a relaxed and peaceful night's sleep.
Ron's flight was delayed from Miami (what's new!) but I finally met up with him again around mid-day with much relief and we again used the shuttle to get us back to the hotel where Ron caught up on sleep. We had supper at the diner next door - food was reasonable but nothing special - and then we were on the shuttle again back to the airport for our flight back to Australia.

... t see anyone famous which Jamie thought was a total rip off but then she realised that it was the Emmy's later that night so everyone was out getting ready. We got to see Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills and other various famous hot spots.
The tour guide was pretty average (we learnt more facts from listening to other people's tour guide) and while we've come to find it's pretty normal for tour guides to remind their subjects about the American 'tradition' of ...
