July 4, 2008- Day 3 Yorkton, SK to Edmonton, AB Well, today we have made a lot of ground coverage quickly. We are still in the clutches of EST as now we are 2 hours behind EST and were up at 5:30 am today, but hey, it was daylight outside. Not a real exciting day to mention yet, though that can always change at any given time with this family. The temperatures have ranged greatly from 40's to a high of 93 degrees Fahrenheit today. Gas prices have ranged from $3.85 per gallon to $5.20 per gall...

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada noalarmclocks... that packing is the worst part of traveling, I never know what to bring... and I always over pack (but thanks to Karen, I've covered most of the bases) Anyhow, I'm flying out to London today, where I will be staying for 3 days. I am definitely going to get out to Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath for a quick day trip. After my quick jaunt in England I'll fly over to Helsinki for my summer abroad program.

Wish Me Luck!
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada lvtranThe weather is starting to get cooler here in the Prairies. The coldest overnight temperature has been -8 degrees. With the colder weather, the van is starting to feel a little smaller. We are spending more time in the van in the evenings and cooking most of our meals inside, so organizing our space is a little challenging. We are also sleeping on the lower bunk because it´s warmer there and that entails moving all the stuff from the back into the ...
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada kalsi_kaur... while speaking with the woman who gave the Hostelling International talk. She's been working for them for 15 years, I believe, and has tonnes of personal experience backpacking around the world. While speaking with her I referenced a few things I've come across in my research, such as the Let's Go podtours and RailSaver, and ...
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada justenMy sister stopped by on her way back to BC on Friday. It's taken half a decade for her to visit, and when she did, it was ***** out. We still managed to get one show in at the Fringe. It is my last day at work. The plan is to head out to BC tomorrow morning. We'll see how that pans out. So much stuff to do that I may have to put it off for another day. I just want to be on my way. I hate dragging things out.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada senorbrian... was much better yet still a struggle. I am reading the Bikram book now which may or not be a good thing. It makes me try harder because I see what the postures supposed to look like. I can tweak my form and am finding that knowing how to do it properly makes it a bit harder to cheat. Not that I want to be cheating but there are those few moments that ignorance is bliss... Grateful for memory.
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada whereshegoes... Guayabitos. 600 pesos (about $60 CAD). It took about an hour. Arrived Rincon about 2:30 PM (now Edmonton time) and settled in to the Brisamar. This is NOT the Ritz. But the price is right and it´s charming. Went out for dinner and had a nice meal. We´re getting to know our fellow inmates and out shopping for housekeeping items. Lots of Mexicans here as school holiday until Jan. 7.
