... funny and then proceeded to give me all the information on places to see in Edmonton.  I checked it out and I had seen everything in the small brochure expect the Fort Edmonton Park, a historical town.  I decided to endeavor to take a bus there so I sat and waited for fifteen minutes for no bus to appear.  The waiting reminded me of why I had walked every Canadian city and would continue to do so.  I then headed in the general direction I thought the Fort ...

... the next day saying that the bags were on Alaska Air from San Fran to Edm and would be delivered once it goes through customs in Edm. The day after as we were all at work, we expected to have the bags delivered but only Helen was called to set up a time for delivery. My bag as well as Eva's was MIA. I had to call Alaska then United ... apparently United was waiting for our bags but didn't know where it was - which was locked in the customs lockup room at Alaska Air -so calling them ...

... with my feet. I breathe in the slightly damp earthy air as the foliage is rustled gently by the slight breeze and hundreds of sun infused leaves flutter to the ground. Some of them whirl in circles playfully taking their time while others seem to glide straight down with purpose. Today i visited West Edmonton Mall! This place is huge! I have been to the big one up in Manchester and Bluewater but neither compare! There are 800 shops, an indoor sea life centre, a sealion show, a life size pirate ship, a swimming poll with an artificial beach, an indoor theme ...

... if she advances. Magic still gets the exclusive right to sleep in my bed with me at night at which time she is very needy for reassurance. It is really quite endearing and helps me forgive the occasional spooks she gives the kitty. It is like she has found an imaginary button that automatically launches kitty vertically three feet in the air. Though it is mean, it's harmless and so hard not to laugh. I reason that this is part of the process and one day, Magic will enjoy ...

... Our trip was almost 7 weeks long, easily the longest I have been away from home. The trip was amazing - we saw so many interesting things and met some cool people, but being in big cities in Europe makes me realize how much I like the big sky and green city we have here. Great to be home! I'll try to upload some pictures to previos blog entries over the next couple of days. My time at home is going to fly by, and I leave next Thursday for South Africa (blog part 2!).

I booked 2 flights, 2 completely different trips in one day (a personal record) As well i have a 3rd trip (south America) which is the mother of all trips Booked and waiting for November, So hopefully with all the lil reward markers I've set for myself, I can survive the next 5 months mentally and physically.
