We ate way too many carbs and sweet things (oooo look, Cadbury's!). I'm going through sugar withdrawal now, which is probably why I'm still so tired.

Amy's idea but could not replicate its funkiness and we are a big fan of
small local business so it was our job to support Amy's as much as
we could over the week. The next day Kara and Courtney had a girls date
featuring manny peddies with Alex, a nice lunch and limited shopping.
The kids and I headed to New Braunfels to go rafting on the Guadalupe.

... in to limiting myself to just a few phrases and quickly developed some standard responses to questions and things to say to the kids. No need for conversation from Santa, no profound words are required. Just some jolly, sincere laughter, some encouragement and praise, and the kids -- and parents -- leave happy. And the kids have been incredible. They're all well-behaved and they don't ask for impossible and awkward things like making dead parents come back to ...
... with her, but told they would be right back. When they came back, they presented us with The Book of Mormun, which apparently Abby wanted to give us as a gift. Little did I know at the time, that book would sure come in handy in the near future.
