In Columbus, it seems to me that one could have all (or most of) the
material things they wanted since living expenses are much more
reasonable. A decent sized house, two cars, large T.V. and maybe even a
pool table. The people are much more welcoming and ...

... br>~Talia's shoe and bracelet obsession! She is always wearing bracelets and even sometimes refuses to take them off before bed. Same thing with the shoes or slippers.
~ Talia is fascinated with Christmas lights, but doesn't really understand what the big deal is about the fat guy in the red suit!

... and played on the jungle gym. She loved it! Then the twins came over to play and everything was fine until they left! She was pulling at the door and crying. She threw such a fit! I don't think she knew if the girls were going to come back or not so she was worried.

After the twins left last night my mom and I gave Talia another bath which didn't go as bad as the previous two. We had some crayons for the tub ...

Bon voila nous avons fait pas mal de route et sommes installes a Columbus, Ohio dans un Days Inn. Nous sommes partis de Montreal a 7h45 pour arriver ici vers 22h45. Total environ 1150km. Les enfants ont tres bien supporte le voyage. Nous nous dirigeons demain pour Oklahoma City.

Well, here we are in Ohio. We're heading towards Mentor so I can visit some rellies who live there, so we'll either make that our destination today, or do a quick visit into Amish country in Pennsylvania first and then head back towards Mentor.

Scott flew in from Boston where he had an afternoon work meeting.

The kids and I drove to Columbus after school. We went through Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia (again), and finally to Ohio.

We saw a replica of Columbus's Santa Maria on the river in town.

Scott and I are excited and scared to be traveling to Ukraine to adopt 2 children. We are currently waiting for our paperwork to be submitted to the SDA. Our submission date is 9/7/09. Once our paperwork is submitted we should hear back in about 1 week with an appointment date. Our appointment with the Ukrainian government could be only 3 weeks away!

Got up early to catch our plane back the the States. We had a layover in Boston, which got delayed for weather. The flight back was uneventful. Dad picked us up at the airport and we filled him in on all of our trip adventures. We were really tired and jet-lagged when we got back to Ohio, so it was an early night.
What a great trip!

... That airport is so dirty and old and is not comforting to travelers! Has some drinks at the only open cafe in the entire airport as we waited for our flight. We then had to move to another terminal to catch our next flight. The flight to Dublin took off at 0700 the next morning so we were in Ireland bright and early!
