... but didn't say boo the entire time. A TV one end, and a radio the other were reporting different aspects of the troubling Paris sieges. I was happy with Franco's handiwork and delighted that it was cheaper than I'd pay in Melbourne even with a tip! Although the temperature was still only -8, I did explore the SoHo (South of Houston) section of Broadway, and discovered the legendary food store Dean and Deluca's where I picked up a few supplies for our lunch. ... let down yesterday. Actually didn't really find anything fantastic, more just expensive. I did have a rather sublime cocktail though. By the time I finished there it was nearly sundown so I made my way (subway again) down to the Staten Island Ferry. Jumped on the ferry just after sun down and enjoyed the views of Manhattan from the back of the boat. Originally I only have ...

... stood near the metro doors when we stopped at stations (Jane)! When we got back to Manhattan we headed to the south end to get the free Staten Island ferry and a view of the Statute of Liberty. After the awe of the skyscrapers the SoL was disappointing.
We saw the ground zero memorial and after yet more walking we got to Chinatown where we hoped for a cheap slap up meal. But we struggled. When we did find a place that sold something affordable that we ...
