Our bags are packed. We've practice-zipped (and to our amazement, they do close!)
We are soooo ready to go.
But there is only one way to begin this blog - with a huge thank you to our Dad for this incredible gift!
Thank you! We love you! We are looking forward to boring the hell out of you with our pictures at New Years!
... had camped with before - invited us to share their fire and we enjoyed the warmth, the company, and some more cereal while staying up way too late. The days we've been doing have been average lately. We had one big 70 mile day the day before we heading into San Francisco and then a 50 mile day into the city and here to Montara to stay at the Hostel. The past couple days haven't been quite as cold in ...
Prachtig glas in lood, leuke puntdakjes, mooi ...
Sunnyvale, California, United States renateGetting ready for a road trip with my buddies, Harsh and Aaron. They've already started the trip by flying from Oakland to Salt Lake City and are then going to drive cross country from there. I'm ...
San Jose, California, United States jgtaylor... The oversleep issue leads nicely into the snooze button issue. At home, during my everyday and somewhat predictable life, I hit snooze on average one- or two-times (or I don't hit it at all if it's a swim day...). Here, I can't seem to STOP hitting snooze though...it just goes on and on to the point of embarrassment. My one-hour planned core work out in the gym this morning, turned into a 15-minute core work out ...
San Francisco, California, United States coffeegirl... was interesting and some of it was just nasty! Most of our lectures have video and pictures and keep in mind most of the information available was made by Hippies in the 1960's and 1970's. I don't have to remind most of you that NOBODY shaved back then- YUCK! My class is small this weekend because it's only first years but I like the small classes- more discussion. The people here are really nice and friendly. Yes I ...
San Francisco, California, United States brit77It was really chilly again this morning, even colder than yesterday. So it didn't take too much to get me up and out of bed and down to the shower block. We ate breakfast in our usual spot, outside the grocery store and dodging the squirrels and wasps. Once we'd packed the car back up we drove to Bridalveil falls to have a look at those. Apparently Yosemite has 6 of North Americas tallest waterfalls, and after viewing this one we'd see 4 of them I think. The falls weren't going much at ...
San Francisco, California, United States lisartw... with hot tubs and saunas, was very cool to sit outside in the snow in the hottub. still cant get over how cheap beer and smokes are here, there always running deals like "buy 1 pack of marlboro get one free" and ****, so good. I have a new favorite burger place, its called in and out burger. when you walk in there it has 3 things on the menu, and the rest is like a secret menu, i looked it up on the net and you have to ask for things in code ...
San francisco, United States dylan_in_usa... and that's not really fair. The houses, built on improbable slopes, are reminiscent of the deep, narrow fronted villas of Tinakori Road and Brooklyn. And the cable cars clanking and rattling (although through the middle of the street). The bustling, crowded Chinatown is Howick and the coffee-obssessed, gallery dotted Sausolito accessed by ferry is Devonport. The streets running up from Union Square are a true melting pot with Korean restaurants next to halal butchers next to tea ...
