Portland Overnight - Biggest Caesar Ever Seen

... of a million strip mall takeout pizza joints. However the Chicken Caesar was not half bad and the only reason I did not finish it was because it came in a bowl about the size of an inflatable swimming pool. It was HUGE. But I ate 2/3rds and was stuffed and returned to the room via the Chevron station where I broke down and bought a Kit Kat. It was yummy.

Nest stop ... San Francisco.

It turns out that I entered our BA frequent flyer numbers on the booking, and that our Cathay Pacific flight is a BA partner, so we ...

... airport). The AirBnB accommodation I was at eventually become available from the owner but all too late...C'est la vie!

With a chance of sunshine, I figured it was now or never to see the Japanese Gardens. Dave came and picked me up from my AirBnB accommodation and we made our way across to Washington Park. Fortunately we got there just before opening time, so we were first in line! Actually, we were the only ones in line...LOL! The Japanese Garden was ...

... and a half mile walk to the garden, which would have given us little or no time there. As we were at the park anyway, we decided to follow one of the trails through the arboretum. I started to have my doubts when we had to scramble up a dusty path. I was not dressed for the occasion, as I'd been expecting to sniff roses delicately all afternoon. We both had serious doubts when the signposted route took us over a bridge below which eight lanes of traffic ...
