We got back from church and the other girls had gone over to Crista's house while all the guys were having a day of ...

On the way home we dropped in to see the Dry Island Buffalo Jump. The Indians used to drive herds of buffalo over the cliff. Some of their tribe would be down the bottom to butcher the buffalo and dry the meat etc. <br>Also around Alberta are lots of oil and gas wells, nearly every ...

I love libraries and gardens!

In our quest for the library, we stumbled upon the most beautiful city gardens! What a find in a roundabout way! Since Senica has a broken toe we cannot walk all over the town. I love how we found the highlights just a few blocks from the bus station!

Last night the temperature dropped to -32C. This morning the snow is gone, the sky is blue and the sun is shining ...

Time to start work....

Well as most of you know - Lake Louise was my final destination - I had a job interview Monday afternoon - got the job Tuesday and was told to show up for work with my board (as this is the only way to get to work) on Wednesday. This was pretty sweet - working for Sawyers restaurant - getting paid very little money - but the tips are not too bad. So ...

Day 1 We hike up to Lake Louise, about 7K, what a beautiful sight the lake is a real strange color due to the glacier behind it. Day 2 We drive up to Lake Louise and hike up to the Tea House. It's a difficult hike but the hot tea,hot chocolate with biscuits and honey make it all worth while. We pick up the trailer with the new tires put on Day 3 Drove to the city of Banff. We check out the Banff Springs Hotel, $800 per night, we decide not to spend a night there. We hike ...
