... remainder of our trip. Now moving east through Louisiana, and then on to Florida. The good news is we will trade the wild places for familiar faces. Wednesday feb 18 the weather was warmer. We packed up and headed to Oak Alley Plantation (1200 acres) about an hour west of New Orleans. We arrived around 10:30. We did a guided tour of the home first then explored some of the grounds and perused the outbuildings that would have been slave quarters.
