The nearby pass had been closed due to the heavy snowfall happened last night due to rains.

The Maggie lunch was served and the tea had snacks of pakoris. The day was exciting and fulfilling. The darkness pitched in and the chill too. We came out and saw the snow peaks shining in the night. The sky was full of stars. The childhood rhyme was jingling in the ears "Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars ...
Faridabad, Haryana, India meenuchadha... you will be billed for costs if your lawyer loses the case. **Workers’ Compensation or 3rd Party Litigation** Normally when a claim is made against an employer, the case is handled by Workers’ Compensation. In most jurisdictions this is a “no fault” insurance system. All employers must have this kind of insurance. So when a claim is made against the system, there is no need to establish that the ...

The company is now targeting to cut it down to Rs 6,000 cr-Rs 6,500 cr by the end of this fiscal and further bring it down to Rs 5,000 cr by the first half of next financial year. While the hotel asset sale, telecom stake sale and bank refinancing were the first steps, this latest development of equity raising and sale of its Saket corporate office shows that the company is on the right track. Delhi, India zameensandeep... means I can't update my Travelpod address book, so some of you won't get this until I do because I can't remember everyone's e-mail address. I had stuffed paranthas with lime pickle (my favourite!) for breakfast, with some curd (that's yoghurt) and, of course, lots of tea! Apparently, there's a very good restaurant near Jama Masjid called Karim's so I may go and seek it out before the Red Fort show tonight.

More later!

Initially all the interest from the touts, hawkers and such like was truly exasperating however I'm slowly learning to deal with them. The hotel itself was pleasant enough located in the rather seedy and somewhat grimy district of Paharganj, I'd suggest anyone ...
Delhi, India morris_cjm... one can well believe the Humayun Tomb did inspire the Taj Mahal. One part day in Delhi just does not seem enough there is so much more to see, but it is back to the hotel for a group meal with the new travellers. Ps. A cold has been efficiently making its way around the truck. When one sneezes we now say "Vish-Nu" instead of "Bless You" after the Hindu god Vishnu.
New Delhi, Rajasthan, India ed.herweynen... after the schedualed time, and listened to the announcements the entire time, apparently I was able to miss it. Anyways, the next morning, with karma level again, it was off to Agra, for the second time. This time, my mind was a little more focused on getting off at Agra station, unlike the first time.
Delhi, India brettpaton... second Mughal emperor Humayun. The Mughal empire was massive at it's height in the early 16th century and covered almost the whole Indian sub-continent. The empire was responsible for building a lot of spectacular architecture during it's reign including the Taj Mahal. Unfortunately you won't see pictures of the Red fort or Humayun's tomb because the batteries for my camera were all dead on the day I toured these sites.
New Delhi, India mustexploreWe never got to sing for the 4th, but we had a great day visiting the National Museum, the Science Museum and a "public" (i.e. private) school. We were allowed to tour in small groups and saw some of the major features and were able to talk to groups of students. I was surprised that the school is run completely without subsidy, and student fees cover 100% of operating costs. When one of my colleagues asked what the budget was, the principal did not answer ...
