After picking up our hire car, we started our first 'driving by ourselves' part of the holiday. Lucky we were given a map of the LA area-even still, we got lost, missed our exit & ended up taking a bit of a detour though the town of Reseda. ... went to the Avalon theater/bar when Diane's son works. We got the grand tour of the place from the manager. Very neat old place with different themed rooms. My favorite was the Moroccan themed one.
We walked around a bit more, and drove by Grauman's Chinese theater. There were a bunch of folks dressed-up and performing on the sidewalks. We then took the son back to his place.
