Ramada Inn Olive Tree San Luis Obispo

We had great time at Ramada Inn Olive Tree, the staff was excellent made our vacation so enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable and we definatly go back whenever we are in that area again.

The rates are competitive at this motel, but the manager is very dishonest. We called a week earlier to have a discount magazine left at the front desk of this place. Our contact said she would leave the coupons with the manager at the front desk. When we arrived, he said that no one had dropped anything off with him or left anything for us.

He was lying. We called our travel contact, and she said she had just dropped it off yesterday. The manager stole our discount coupon books for himself!!! Unbelievable!

Then, the maid forgot to leave us some soap. We asked the manager for two bars of soap, one for the bath, and one for the sink. The cheap bastard informed us that we could only have one. Beware of the management. They will steal and lie to you!

For the $$ this was an excellent experience. The one and two bed room suites were roomy 7 comfortable. Professional staff & Service

we stayed in December holidays on the way from San Francisco. We checked in late and front desk was so helpful in settling to the room. we had great breakfast and very helpful in giving direction.

We would definetly recomand it and we will go back

The Management was The worse My family has ever delt with in my live, the manager did not speek english and was RUDE!, I think the owner of this ramada need's to make a change. NOW.The rooms where very nice but not cleaned very well, also the food next door was not up to par. other then that the rest of our stay was nice. BAD MANAGEMENT.

Customer service should be # one. I wish we had found this site before we booked, NOW WE WILL check out trip advisor everytime we book, and so should you.

We stayed in November 27& 28, 2002 We had wonderful time in San Luis Obispo, We had family reunion and Ramda Inn Olive Tree staff took care of all our request. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We would go their again and again...

I booked a 2 day online reservation and didn't have any problems with the check-in. Later on that night, unfortunately, my luck turned ugly.



After returning from dinner, my husband and I found ourselves locked out of our room. When speaking to the manager, he informed me that he had made a mistake in billing and was supposed to charge us a higher price than the one I agreed to. After acknowledging his error, I asked him if the price of the room I agreed to was still the same as to what I signed for. He said it was still the same. Low and behold after checking my credit card service online days later, my credit card had been charged the higher price.



I called the manager and he told me he would check into the matter. After four days of not being called back, I had to call him again and got into a hostile phone conversation because he said that I had agreed to go ahead and be charged the higher price than the one I had agreed to at check-in. I told him that he had made the error and good business is to not lie to your customers. I told him that all I wanted was the difference between the two prices to be returned to my credit card. He agreed to refund the difference but days later, it still hasn't been credited.



Don't go through the headache and anger that I have gone through. Bad management. There are plenty of hotels across the street from the Ramada Inn. Stay away from this hotel!!

Another industry down the drain. Now owned, I believe, as franchises, this one is particularly bad. I made reservations online for $139 for a suite, $89 for another room. When I called to change it to 2 nights instead of 3, they had mistakenly had us down for 4 nights. I said I had AAA, would they give me the discount, they said yes.

They did not. They said when we paid it was 'already included' (on the web, impossible to know if everyone has AAA). So they cheated me out of $28 and $18. He could not speak much English and was hostile. The room would have been ok, but the stove in the kitchen was filthy, there were no kitchen tools (why have a kitchen with no tools). I asked for the other room to be a smoking room. It was not. The 'free coffee' included one (1) creamer and sugar. I had to request more (their policy is to put out only one. They did it both days).

I regret these ever more and more cheap ways to handle the 'hospitality' industry, and really abhor the filth and mistrust that these new owners seem to have. I would never go there again. It is awful to have to try to find out if a name brand place is really bad now because of individual owners or franchees.

Just returning from the Olive Tree Inn, I feel compeled to tell you that it was nothing like what I thought it would be. I found a web sight showing pictures of it which were inaccurate. The managers where helpless at best. The maids yelled at me for smoking in the room - YELLED. The room was dirty. The food at the attached reastuarant was terrible (although the staff there was atleast friendly). The heated pool? Forget it - not heated, slightly green, smaller then the room you're sitting in right now.

Terrible, etc, etc, etc.
