I made it back on Thursday at 7pm. Total mileage logged: 7K+. Miles run for the last two days: 2,100. I rode from Tuscalossa AL to Van Horn TX on wednesay, that was 1,150 miles and took 20hours. The next day, I went from 120 miles east of El Paso Texas to Redlands CA. I think that was about 13 hours. It was sooo hot in AZ and CA! We rented an AVIS car from Oceanside to drive to LAX. It was much cheaper than flying or parking one's car at LAX. On our return we have reserved a car in Culver City and they will pick us up for $20 which is a lot cheaper than picking up the car at the airport. Just need to put this info into reservation and call the Culver City office once you are at the terminal.
