... the castle, where I stop for coffee. It's very steep and my legs are feeling it. I carry on and eventually come out at tiny little lakeside town. It's a beautiful (though a bit difficult) walk with magnificent views of the lake from up high. More photos. Back down lakeside, I head back towards Varenna. ... is on Lago Di Como (lake Como). It's across the lake from Bellagio (of George Clooney fame). Took an hour to get there and Greta, my air BnB host was waiting for me. We drove to the BnB. Oh no! ... bottled water is very cheap there. While travelling, to brush my teeth, I did use the tap water and was careful not to swallow any of it. For drinking, I always bought bottled water. We dont really think about it here, we are thirsty, and we will drink the water out of the tap or out of a fountain. The water in developing countries can be fairly contaminated but people there, some do not have the choice but to drink it.
