Day 30 Tuesday 30th June. Dawson Creek to Lac La Biche Albert Canada. 381 miles

Our ride started in heavy rain and on a freshly scarified stretch of road. Visibility was poor and I lost the other three following me. Their sat navs were saying a different route to mine. When they turned the lights on at night, the water came alive with small to large fish. It was really something to see.

... When we finished it measured 26'x44' and consumed 4,560 paving stones (weighing a total of 24,000lbs) - our backs hurt! The neighbors didn't offer to help but they looked after us - they invited us for mid-day BBQ's or snacks and being diplomatic, they would bring over a beer every day at 4:30PM and "inspect" our progress but wouldn't leave - this tactic effectively shut off the equipment, stopped the dust and quelled the ...
