WW and I drove across western NC. Got to a town called Statesville and went into J&R Cigars, billed as the World's largest cigar store. They ain't lying. BIg ol' CHurchills for $3 (or less).

We camped at Lake Norman, land donated to the State of NC by the Duke Power company as long as the state let them leave their nuke there. No pics. Suprisingly nice campground.

We left Atlanta shortly before 11 am today and had a rather uneventful trip up I-85 to Charlotte. We took a short detour to Cornelius to visit my cousin Eloise Crawford. We had a good time reminiscing about church camps at Maryville College, back when we were "Northern Presbyterians." She reminded me that my brother, John, always had the job of ringing the bell in Anderson tower at dinner time and for other important events such as classes and vespers. We enjoyed our evening with Eloise.

As of this morning I now have a place to live in Regina I also now have 4 complete windows in the Jeep! I've included pictures of my new house. It is close to the park - not sure which park yet - but it has a lake and something called the Science Center.
