Today we drove down to Lake Geneva, a lake near the Illinois border, and had a ride on the mail boat. You might have seen this on TV - it's been on news and travel programs. Click here to see one from NBC Nightly News.

This is one of the few places where mail is still delivered by boat. The mail boat goes ...

Flew into Milwaukee and caught the train to Chicago while Tracy takes the rental car to Elkhorn. Thursday - Brookfield Zoo was great as always. Dolphin show got us soaked. Weather was perfect. Spent the day today here in camp. Cooking, cleaning and watching a double header on tv. We had another HUGE storm again tonight. Two nights in a row there have been tornado warnings here and they had to take everyone from the tent sites and have them sit in the basement of the camp office. We watched it for hours. Storms here are definitely not like the ones we have in California. Tomorrow we head for Indiana!!! Look out cousins, here we ...

We drove into Chicago today. Boy are the highways here confusing!!! They tried to hide it from us, but we found it anyway!
We drove up Lake Shore Drive which is the edge of town right on Lake Michigan. The entire coastline is all park and beach. No homes or businesses! It's like the coastal commission came through here and said "Nope, this area is for everyones enjoyment. No one can build here." ...
