On my flight to LA so I thought I would start my Spartan Malibu blog. I'll arrive in LA at noon then it's an hour car ride to Malibu. I'll settle in, check into the hotel and get a lay of the land. ... pulled together and managed to work out the camper’s special quirks and find ways to deal with them. We also had the joy of dealing with 12 year old stubbornness and *****iness, young crushes and sometimes heart breaking stories about home. I think this encampment provided a great experience for both counselors and campers to understand other people’s differences.
Now off to NYC for a well deserved encampment break! ...

Not only was today the day that we left Wal-Mart, it was also, finally, after months of build-up, the day of the 2008 Presidential Election.
