    ... been spoiled with great weather for the past 9 days so I couldn't complain to much..that was until I couldn't find my rain jacket. I had accidentally left my rain jacket in a restaurant in Delaware Water Gap, PA. I hiked for 3 rainy and cold days until I was able to pick up a poncho from a little trailside store. I was finally able to get a hold of the restaurant and they sent my jacket to Pawling so I could pick it up. At least now when it rains ...

    ... it but my door won't open cause the coach is too wide. Jim goes through pulls over and I run back to get it. By this time there is no ticket!! To hell with it. Finally get to our exit, tell them we don't have the ticket so we have to pay the highest price which is 28.45.     ... pulled together and managed to work out the camper’s special quirks and find ways to deal with them. We also had the joy of dealing with 12 year old stubbornness and *****iness, young crushes and sometimes heart breaking stories about home. I think this encampment provided a great experience for both counselors and campers to understand other people’s differences.

    Now off to NYC for a well deserved encampment break! ...

    Not only was today the day that we left Wal-Mart, it was also, finally, after months of build-up, the day of the 2008 Presidential Election.
