Back on the road today! We were set to do 60 miles which is now starting to feel like a normal day. My legs aren't half a sore as I thought and my bum has definitely broken into the saddle some more! The road was generally flat as it snaked beside Lake Erie, with some really nice views along the way. We stopped off around 20 miles in for some really good food at a place called Boomerang before setting off again to do the last 40 miles in one. ...

We drove around the local towns and found two fun little local markets.
The first was the Crossraods Indoor Market. People bring all kinds of locally made, grown or built items into a big warehouse and set up stalls. Mike got a bottle of wine and I bought a star.

... we found the old Welch's Building from the 1800's and a great park complete with gazebo and a grand old church across the street form a beautiful statue of a little girl giving President Lincoln some flowers. Right out of a Norman Rockwell painting.
We met some pretty neat characters here in camp. A group of guys that called themselves "Total Rednecks". Watching them try to put their camp together ...

... had rocks (at the port side and where the tall ships are) while the end and other side have huge sandy beaches. There are monuments dating back to the Battle of Lake Erie from 1813, and light houses dot the shore. There is even a huge theme park with enormous rides right at the very beginning of the state park. Once again my jaw was on the ground and my camera was smoking for taking so many photos.

... who were happy we had come back. One family was so annoyed by the protesters that, after enjoying the first show, they came back to COUNTER-protest the protesters with some homemade signs. Love the support! :)

We're getting closer to the Cleveland area with each jump...John was born and raised there and I lived there for a decade. We have family and friends who are coming out to various shows in the area over the next week. Can't wait to see you guys!
