Today we got up early and watched St. Louis when we woke up while we packed. I really enjoyed the film but we missed the end so that we could get the matar to the grey hound bus station. This is the train station, Grunewald, where the Jews were brought for deportation. The Jews were herded as cattle up the cobblestone road to Platform 17. They were crammed into train cars and transported to Auschwitz to be exterminated. This platform would be a bad place to find yourself lost at the train station.
