... mountainous this area is. I had imagined it to be quite flat but that thought was not based on anything - just an assumption I guess. The number of massive houses parked on top of hills was phenomenal - some people here clearly do not need to be tipped - they have ample savings & more!

... Giraffe. She was 15 feet tall! Willow's tongue was a purplish color and it felt slimy and rough when she licked my hand. I thought Willow was going to eat Sean while we were taking a family picture! This morning started off with a nice breakfast here at the hotel. Nice assortment of hot and cold choices along with freshly made waffles. We left for the San Diego Zoo close to 10 a.m. as it is only a short drive away. Traffic wasn't too bad here this morning. I suspect we missed the morning rush..thank goodness! The zoo even has free parking which was a nice surprise. The lines at the ticket booth moved quickly and after obtaining our discounted AAA tickets, ...
