It was a rather tricky drive getting outside of Prescott, Az. That's a road we'll never take again in our motorhome. The road isn't something I'd recommend even if driving a car. Craig earned his stripes that day. Drove thru Quartzite; it looks the same as usual, although ...
Yuma, Arizona, United States rgvtxchrs... that day and not sure how to get to the government border office without re-crossing, we opted to cross back into the U.S. for the night and simply try again Monday morning. So instead of spending the late afternoon and evening looking for a motel, we spent an hour waiting in line to re-enter the U.S., during which time we spent the bulk of our time saying “No, thank you” to the hundreds of food and souvenir vendors standing amid the traffic.

Yuma, Arizona, United States jackies-world... adequate food and water. I really think this looked like a skull laying on top of the mountain. But then I could be seeing things! One of the more interesting things we stopped and looked at . . .a yellow and black Gila Monster. Hope everyone enjoyed my day at the desert .. . Jackie Whedbee
Yuma, Arizona, United States jackies-world... and wetlands. We also explored downtown and went to the local farmer's market which is held every Tuesday on the Main street in historic downtown Yuma. This is where we went to an old saloon called "Lutes Casino" for burgers and beers with our friends Joe and Elsie. Very quaint inside and extremely popular with both locals and tourists. Lots of fun and reasonably priced good food. Remember in my last entry when we were in Parker and I spoke about the swap ...
Yuma, Arizona, United States shipling2009 01 25 Driving to Yuma via Hwy 86 is fairly non-descript. Leaving the green scenery of the San Jacinto Mountains and adjoining hills, the landscape quickly turns flat and brown. We drove beside the Salton Sea (located SE of Palm Springs) which, surprisingly, is the same elevation as the Pacific Ocean. The shoreline is salty white, there are no birds, no grass, no trees and except for mesquite, acacia and Navajo willows that are covered in sand drifts - there's ...
Yuma, Arizona, United States jimcabay... food before we crossed over so we pulled into the closest restaurant which happened to be the world famous Mickey D's. We ate the healthiest slop on the menu and Paul broke the news to me. His radiator fan wasn't working. So we headed back to Yuma to get it looked at. Go figure, nobody has tires or parts for either of our bikes. So once again fate gives us another wedgie. Paul is trouble shooting the fan ...

Tacoma, Arizona, United States jackies-world... seemed like a big feat. 1pm Made it to BEAUTIFUL Sedona and had a quick snack before out tour started. The tour was literally pink Jeep Wranglers off roading in the red rocks. We saw some really pretty sites and found out a lot of good geology and botany info. 3 pm We went to the artists area of Sedona and walked around for awhile. Our Cowboy from yesterday had suggested to us that if we went to Sedona we should check out the "Oak Creek Brewery ...
