... to photo. But so glad that happened. Except for the thumb over part of the lens at the beginning got a super shot! Happenstance is sometimes good. I didn't get soaked, but had to work to protect the cameras. Lake Ontario is gynormous! Can't imagine how big Lake Superior is, but I will not get to see it this trip. Had fish & chips for supper, yum! Ended the day looking at old family pictures. Lovely day! See ya on the flip ...

... goodness! Also thankful it was dark because we probably looked pretty silly riding around with a fully inflated queen sized air mattress on the top of the Honda. Dinner was next with a nice fire to end the evening. ... America & the area hasn't been over commercialized like on the Canadian side, our side of this Natural Wonder is like a park & very accessible. You can park all day for only $5 and see everything for FREE!! There wasn't even a State Park fee!! We walked over 6 miles on great trails & at the end we had a nice dinner at the Top of the Falls restaurant with a view of the falls!! We were both so very happy we had visited Niagara Falls!!

Our next stop was Syracuse for a picnic lunch at a park. Well, we drove around trying to find the state park. No luck because there were no directional signs. Next we tried the GPS- it did find a park, but who wants to sit on a tot sized swing set in a patch of grass so it was on the highway to the next rest stop for ...

... donuts, but Chinese soups, egg sandwiches and cheese toasties. Lunch and donuts there for 3 days!!
The falls are spectacular as ever but there have been some drastic changes since I visited in 1987 with my mum. Back then there was no wax museum, ripely believe it or not, WWE museum, Hard Rock Cafe, Hooters or a strip that has you feeling as though you are on Cavil Avenue on the Gold Coast. Obviously they felt it would benefit the local community by ...
