      ... necessitated renting cars and staying in motels to meet our flight schedules. Except for my not being able to sit in a car for long periods, we managed this okay but "life on the road" really didn't suit us. Getting settled in Maggies nice condo gave us welcome relief from this grind.       ... all out with the deserts - a veritable symphony (to use one of the guests phrases) of pecan pie, pumpkin pie, key lime pie, chocolate cake and a vanilla sponge decorated like a festive turkey with a pilgrim hat and everything.
