Here I am trying to pack for yet another trip. Everything out ready to put 1/2 back....then another 1/2 back in a day or so. The good news is that we have really no restrictions on weight (other than the standard 2-bags at 50lbs each) and neither Southwest nor Mexicana is charging for baggage. No way I'll need that baggage limitation but I still worry about having to carry the stuff around!<br ...
Spokane, Washington, United States nomadgalFinally got the truck back, all fixed and running beautifully. Decided to get on the road, though it was already 2 pm. Headed south along Flathead Lake through green forests and valleys to I-90, then west, west, west. All uphill, what a climb, to Coeur d'Alene in Idaho, then downhill into Washington State. Spent almost two hours trying to find Riverside State Park in the city of Spokane, finally set up the camper and tried to settle down for the night.

Spokane, Washington, United States ingviajeWe left West Glacier and headed to Washington using Highway 2. After talking with a lot of the people in the campground we decided that was our best choice. By heading West and not south toward I-90 we would not have to go through the road construction that we came through coming up and it saved about 50 miles.

This route was very rural but scenic and we were excided that we missed ...

Spokane, Washington, United States benandlindseyMom woke us up at what morgan and I thought was an incredibly early hour...7am! Mom told us that we all had to excercise every day which consisted of us running around the truckstop a bunch of times and doing lots of bootcamp exercises!. That day we drove on through Idaho. We were beginning to think that we were not realy getting a grasp of Idaho so mom found a really cool historic site that we visited ...
Spokane, Washington, United States pringlefarm... force your spoon into it, chicken pot pie followed by key lime pie mmmmm delicious. All the weight I lost today fighting the winds I put back on tonight and then some. Food is one of the reasons I like to travel, maybe you can tell that?
I have put a few pics I took on the trek today just to show you how varied Washington is along the route I took.
I have just passed 11,000 kms on my trip so far.
Spokane, Washington, United States muggeragem... need it, and have no problem downing a fairly massive plate. Lots of friendly people and conversation, some route advice, though all contingent as no one knows anything of the span of the overhead weather system. I keep an eye on the pavement, looking to see that it stays wet. I leave bundled: expedition thermal, Dr. Seuss midweight fleece, sweater, light thermal windbreaker, down jacket, rain jacket, and leather jacket on top, regular long ...
Spokane, Washington, United States joe.kilch... fire hydrant. I felt ok about missing it, as so far we have clocked up a tremendous amount of driving. By skipping out on this, we would pretty much save on a day of hard core traveling. Off we went taking a northerly route up through Montana. As we made our way along, the terrain gradually began to change from flat grasslands to rocky mountain high (and it was quite high up too!). The ...
