After meeting a couple people unenthusiastically from Nebraska and being told the same story again and again........... we still went through Nebraska. It is cloudy and drizzling off and on. Not much to see on this drive. We did see hundreds (Mike says thousands) of cattle in muddy pens with a sign that said Quality beef products. Didn't look like quality to us. Disgusting. We are staying in Elk City, Oklahoma tonight.

Kennedy adorn this memorial, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". I was moved by this place and thought, if I lived nearby, I would love to volunteer my time to such a worthy cause.

We then headed south to Lincoln, the capitol of Nebraska, and before finding our hotel, we took a side trip to see the capitol building, which ...
