... You can imagine our concern when the customer service officer said, well the earliest we can get you into Lincoln is 8:30 PM tomorrow night. So discussions ensued about other options, which included flying on to Chicago and then back to Omaha arriving at midnight. I almost had us going to Miner North Dakota, instead of the intended Mina South Dakota, where we are to stay ...

... the time I crossed the Nebraska border it was almost clear. I noticed a strange phenomenon near where the horizon should be, - a straight line between sky and earth, - Wait! That IS the horizon! I haven't seen it that well defined since the last cold front in Florida!

... is to travel west, take our time and see where the spirit leads us. (Mike spirit is telling him Palm Springs, CA) We will be heading back east to spend the summer in New Hampshire with the family.

So to all of our family and friends, thanks for your encouragement and comments. It helps make the one bad thing about being on the road, missing all of you, a little more bearable.

Bye for now and stay well.

... is that Lincoln Nebraska is closed on a Sunday morning. It really was dead! No sign of life (well a bit, but not much).

We did the sites, which included the capitol building, the Governor's Mansion, the Sunken Garden and - my favourite - the university agriculture dept. dairy store to pick up ice cream.

K's choice - The American Museum of Speed - was, you guessed it, closed on weekends! Shame!
