... is the Fort Pierce Inlet area. Surrounded by state parks, great surf beaches and family-friendly beaches, picnic areas, excellent fishing and boating opportunities, fantastic restaurants, both small and large hotels plus riverwalks along the parks and city center, this area offers something for everyone.

... the boat - aiming at the draining bacon. I quickly put a towel on top of the bacon and backed out of the galley. A more casual day today. Set off from Cocoa Beach and drove down the A1A (ie not the fast interstate road) adjacent to the coast. The journey is along a series of islands connected by bridges and very picturesque. Stopped off at Sebastian Inlet (a state park). Plenty of pelicans, herons, stone terns and other birds. A few people surfing and many others fishing. Weather has been gloriously hot - well into the 80s.

... from other boaters about a great mooring facility on the west side of US 1 we radioed and got our mooring assignment and moored up.There are alot of boats here many 50-80footers from many different port of calls.We dingyed up to the dock masters office and found a beautiful new facility SUNSET BAY.They are putting in new floating docks and will be 90% transient.We have decided to stay a few days here there is lots to explore.There is a ...

... and got a row off a really arsey woman for not immediately specifying that he wanted the taxi tomorrow, rather than straight away. It was nice to stay in one place for more than a few days, and had given us the chance to settle down for a while after spending so much time on the road. Tomorrow was back to the Greyhound though, and after seeing pretty much everything I'd wanted to in Orlando, I was looking forward to travelling again.

... I stayed there into the next post. One other thought. They changed the name of Cape Canaveral to Cape Kennedy to honor the former president . Then years later they changed it back. What's with that? I've seen things all over named after presidents but I have never seen them change it again anywhere else. Maybe they should hve installed one of those flashing roadside signs that you can change the letters on.
