      ... tide we encountered very shallow water at the Palm City bridge, so low that a passing trawler going west hailed us to forewarn us. We slowed our speed and did just fine. No problem with the bridge height either. We arrived at the mooring field to find almost all the balls were taken. There were 3 empty ones and we grabbed #29 and tied up.       ... our car and get ready for the big cruise tomorrow. At the end of the street is a river lock that allows boats to transverse Florida which cuts off 200 miles of their travel. The difference in the river levels is 14ft and we got to see the lock in use. It is an amazing piece of engineering. Hopefully I get this published before we go on the cruise.
