I came to Iasi because its right on the border with Moldova and its famed for its nightlife and charming town. It use to be the capital of Moldova and also Romania so it had some serious history to it.

... closed for renovation, hence inaccessible for any visitors. The only thing we could see was Stefan cel Mare statue in front. Then miraculously it stopped raining and the sun appeared - the only rainy half of the day in Romania was over for us. ... yey!. Everything went smoothly until the plane landed which was a complete shock as it was extremely sudden. Once I managed to control my trembling knees and make a few steps, I quickly collected my bag with a small incident which included an unintended small play on words with the baggage guard which is hard to explain here. I slept over at Gabi's in Iasi.
Today I had a full-on day of mostly talking.
... to the very air-conditioned Aldi-lookalike, which I loved. At around 5 Dudu and Tibi picked us up to take us to their apartment near Brasov (near the mountains and Sinaia, a 4.5 hour drive). We arrived at around 10 and went straight to a nearby pub and had dinner and drinks. I maybe drank too much especially as we sat in their kitchen and drank and talked and drank some more until 4ish in the morning.
I want to ask you something. You ask me for pictures and notes in my blog.
It takes me a lot of effort to bring light to my traveling for you!! ;)
So I would really appreciate your comments and feedback. So I can at least know that you watch them. Otherwise I feel like I am doing useless work ... :(
