Oh well, we had fun anyway singing the "irish drinking song" game from "Whose Line Is It Anyway."<br> The night ended back at the hotel, and we just decided to take it easy. I think we're all getting pretty tired of living out of backpacks and sleeping on trains. Speaking of trains, we have an early one tomorrow so goodnight all!

... existence and contributions. A small town of Nibutani (Biratori) still has many populations of Ainu. At the bus stop, I was asked where I came from from an older lady. I said, "Hawaii". She just told me "thank you for coming all the way from Hawaii. It must be really cold here for you". It's summer, but yeah, it was a bit chilly for me. Next summer I hope to come back to Hokkaido and drive around, and I'd like to talk to more people. I am already looking forward to it!

We're in Sapporo now and it's absolutely amazing. However the hostel is charging ten yen per freaking minute to use the internet - which adds up to roughly $10 AUD an hour. Today, in order to make our travels around Sapporo more efficient, we decided to get ourselves some wheels. No, not a car... but a couple of rental bicycles from our hotel. For $10 we could ride two bikes for 8 hours. Now, these are not the most attractive bikes -- they look like something that a school teacher would have rode in the 1930's but they are comfortable and they get the job done. ... Olympics. The museum as well as having clothes warn by the athletes and various sporting equipment, had lots of simulators. You could be an ice hockey goal keeper, get in a bobsledder, cross country skiing, speed skating and the highlight, the sky jump simulator. The sky jump simulator had a slope and VR headset as well as skis. As you went down the hill the machine would slide you down the slope. You had to jump at the right time and open the skis to glide ...
