I must say that I was somewhat unimpressed by Lake Balaton, although the sight of our elderly, cynical program director stripping down to a speedo for a quick dip was something I won't soon forget. Balaton has a reputation as a huge destination for Hungarians but when we were there the weather was less than ideal and it was pretty much deserted. I think most of the people who voted for the lake regretted their decision.

Part of reason that this particular program appealed to me was that it included trips. I don't normally like tour buses but hey, they were free right?
