As we were in the area, we had to pay a
visit and so from Hannover, we boarded the train for the short

Around 90% of Hannover were destroyed during WW2 and when I saw some of
the old houses that remained untouched it really broke my heart as I
could only imagine how pretty this city must have once been.
I hope you will enjoy the (rebuilt) remains as much as I did.
After work some colleages and I went out and walked through the city center down to the Marschsee. There was a festival and we were curious to see it.

Hannover has given us our most authentic glimpse of Modern Germany. A country that we Brits have very strong ties with. We ought to really make an effort to get to know our fellow saxons… we both have a lot to learn from each other. We can teach them how to laugh at them selves, and they can teach us how to play football……
