Having said that, nobody was doing the mega 200 km/h plus speeds I have seen and been responsible for in the past in the appropriate German machinery. They do not give a gate number at the terminal for a flight or announce when a flight is ready to board but rather put the gate up on the departure screen 20 minutes before the flight is about to leave. that means you can start loading at that gate.
