... any day now so we’ll meet baby number 2 soon! Matt flew to Seattle on Thursday and arrived back later that Saturday afternoon. On Sunday he flew to Miami for a conference and then on to London and Brussels! He finally arrived back on Saturday morning, the 18th, slightly exhausted! Luckily a nap and a delicious dinner at Uncle Boons, an Asian place, restored him slightly and he managed to help celebrate Nathan’s 30th birthday later that night.
Day #5: Ice Cream!
This Tuesday was the day we went to Ben & Jerry's which was actually much cooler than I thought it would be. Our guide was very funny, yet informative and we learned a lot and got to sample a small cup of the ice cream. We are here at the Jersey shore and had the drizzel rain and grey skys of the Northwest yesterday. This morning we woke to beautiful blue skys and sunshine. 75 and a little breeze at the beach. Walked on the boardwalk here in Brigatine and out to the water to see all the shells. Had a lunch at a little greek cafe and ate outside in the sun. After ...
... that has the beach on one side and the casinos and shops on the other. At 7.30 pm all of the shops were closed, half of the casinos were boarded up and only a few people were walking around.
I can't say that AC was ever a great place, as compared to the mega casinos and hotels in Asia the place is a dump. I'm sure however that in its time it was considered exciting but it sure is an ugly place. One street back from the strip and you find yourself in ...
