... we went from Wisconsin to Iowa to visit friends of Denise and Pete..people they met on their Egypt trip. Shobi and Shiv ( not sure of spelling) ..an Indian couple who have lived in the states for about 20 years. The live in a District...houses are on acre lots ..lovely two story house ...no fences anywhere. They have invisible fences for their pets ...who wear a collar ..prevents them from going outside ...

The town was still a bit sleepy, so we didn't encounter that many folks who were ready to say good morning to a clown, but we did meet a woman on the sidewalk who told us she'd just moved there a week and a half ago and was utterly delighted to meet a real circus clown. ... of the conference was "Connected with Christ and His Mission". Two hundred delegates from fourteen Spanish speaking countries were present and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know new people, catching up with old friends, and "pushing" the Emmaus courses. The conference was truly set up with the idea of connecting and networking God's people together as we had long meal breaks and an hour each way ride in buses to our hotel. ...
