Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom nic_dani_geers... company signed a 9000 year lease when they first commenced brewing all those years ago, so i guess they have a bit of time to worry about rent increases! The storehouse itself is magnificent - the museum, complete with interactive displays weaves up 6 levels, culminating at the Gravity Bar, completely encircled with glass, complete with a complimentary Guiness for everyone. OK so i admit, i cheated and only had a pot of Guiness, but for a non beer ...

Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom jasndan... to a bar called The Crown and gave us a little history lesson. There is a booth under a mirror called the Snog Booth. During WW2, girls used to sit with the GIs and entertain them, lets say, so they could be assured to get items like nylons during rationing. So a bunch of horny old guys figured out they could watch "the show" by watching the mirror. So today, no local Belfast girls ever sit there. That's how you know who the tourists are! Then he took us to another pub around the corner to ...
Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom mariacg... Queens Uni dead and finally the city center was empty. It wondered if the city had been hit by a zombie plague. I returned to the hostel at midday to crash for a few hours. Waking up there was a change of plan, we were heading to (London-)Derry. The hostel was going to pay for our bus fare, food and bed in return for us helping out with a French Tour group. Fine by me. At the bus station there was a red bull machine, great, mixer for the vodka ride there.......
Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom broony79I would like to start this off by declaring my complete and undivided love for Kings of Leon. I acutally love the *******s. Look how ****ing cool they are. There's always been a tough fistfight to the top of my musical podium between them, Cold War Kids and Yves Klein Blue, but I've decided they take gold. For the minute anyway.. They're actually ****ing brilliant. And anyone who tries to defy my thoughts can ...
Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom bondage... to drive through second time around, but the one thing I will always remember about my first visit here was the cab driver explaining that much of the violence these days is less about religious or political ideals directly, and more about gangs fighting turf wars over drugs and other organised crime rackets.

After bearing south down the main motorway and within line of sight of a couple of hill-top observations posts, we left Northern Ireland behind and were ...
