After a 12 hour drive, my longest push the whole trip, I arrived in Dallas. I found John and Patty's house, and although it was late, they were both up and waiting for me. Patty and John are old acting friends of my dad. When I was a kid in Los Angeles, we would visit them at there house. These were special visits. John was, and still is, a puppet maker and puppeteer. Some of my ...
Dallas, Texas, United States brandonibolognaOur first stop was to see Tommy (brother) and Debbie (sister) at their house in Dallas. First thing we did was drop off my dry cleaning at my usual spot in The Colony, it is so much cheaper than anywhere in Austin. Afterwards we met Tommy and Debbie at Stonebriar Mall in Frisco to see the New Moon movie. Boy that was a snooze fest, I tried to ...

Dallas, Texas, United States adamsprinces... to me is "will I be Comfortable", is it near major sights, and reviews by others.
Comfortable can mean almost anything from are the bathrooms en suite, is breakfast served, are there secure lockers, and is there someone on duty 24 hours a day.
Major sights have to be near or your just wasting more money having to trek to the city center by taxi if no bus is available.
Reading reviews is also ...
Amarillo - Dallas Everyone awoke surprisingly sprightly despite the late night last night. We hit the road just after 8 a.m. to make the journey to Dallas. There were no particularly interesting stops on the way (that I can remember at least) and we arrived in Dallas early afternoon. Most people either caught up on a bit of sleep or relaxed in the pool before we headed out to experience a genuine Texan rodeo. We were served an awesome BBQ for dinner before ...
Dallas, Texas, United States harmer56... came out to! Afterwards, I went home with my Dallas buddy, Horacio...aka "H". Met his wife, Amy, and kids and stayed in their amazing house. It was better than any hotel I've ever been to! They even have a dog that's super nice! Big, but really nice. His kids were sleeping by the time we got home so I didn't officially meet them. Will have another chance in the morning!
Dallas, Texas, United States fishy979American Airlines nearly ruins my trip....my original flight which was supposed to leave at 10:10am never leaves the ground....at 11:45am...AA has another flight bound for Tokyo and because I have carry-on luggage only, I'm allowed to board the flight and make it to Tokyo with 40 minutes to change planes and airlines ( Japan Air, they rock!!) . American Airlines...never again you *******s.
Dallas, Texas, United States rone_9... the visitor and to trust him. Quite a different attitude from our American way of greeting a knock on the door with a chained lock permitting only a small opening to "check out" the visitor, or with a hurried, "Come on in, but I only have a minute before I have to...." Family/Community/Passion for Country The less people have, the more committed to family and proximate community they are. People in villages live on land shared ...
