... not be trusted. I found these signs amusing; considering that anyone reading them was already walking the boardwalk, they were sort of preaching to the choir. Silly signboards, you had us at hello!

Also along the boardwalk, at periodic intervals one would encounter enterprising people selling juice and snacks. There was even one old dude trying to sell ...

        MY SUNDAY IN DALIAN

... lots of great photo ops and some interaction with the locals. I definitely wanted to hit the sightseeing tower today, which lies just south of the park. The easy way up the hill was on a ski-lift type of cable car, but with all my stuff and my rather expensive new camera I did not want to chance it, so I stared the walk, a 400m incline, that took me maybe 45 minutes-- in 32 degrees. Overall, a successful day, later coming to understand why my foot hurt, google maps says I covered approximately 12-13 km in my flip ...

Arriving by Rail in Dalian, a beautiful coastal city. My train came in about 10 pm, I had a horrible sleep on Thursday night, so I was feeling pretty bagged. Not gonna lie the thought crossed my mind to hop a cab, but Bu Yao (no!) I knew I had written myself good directions and I am cheap, so off I went in the dark to find my bed for the weekend. Dalian is very alive at ...

Dad's 87th birthday and Graduation Ceremony at Dalian No 14 High School with Gary Timm's Wilfred Owen playet, Gavin's choir singing war songs, and then Gary's Cinderella in Boots which was hysterical. A great afternoon with really professional presentations from the school leavers.
