... the weather at 2:30 in the morning... 80 degrees, 92% humidity and zero wind! Not to mention we parked the van on the same side that the delivery trucks pass by. What a night, needless to say, I didn't get much sleep. Oh and did I mention that The Nic can sleep through anything?

... leaves at 10:30PM and arrives in Fairbanks at 1:37AM Sunday. That's 5:37AM eastern time. UGH. But we managed to get into the Princess Lodge a day early, so we can check in and sleep most of Sunday as we have no activities planned. Of course, this is assuming all goes well with flights and such. Keep your fingers crossed...and hopefully we'll have good news to report later!

Actually writing something down (the old fashion way - pen to paper) was met with some eye rolls, but when you bring technology into the mix, suddenly the idea didn't seem half bad! On one of the more remote sections of the road we passed two people pushing carts with all their belonging piled on top. The piles were at least eight feet high and tied together with rope.
