Stayed at Ramada Chester on the weekend of the 25th Feb, and what a fantastic stay we had. My wife and I, where celebrating our anniversary and chose Ramada Chester after staying in a Ramada in York.

This 4 Star hotel has excellent facilities, great leisure centre and pool, nice bar, and the Restaurant that was absolutely "heaving" on the satuday night, was great. Food & Service second to none. All Staff very friendly, could not fault. We as like other previous comments did stay in a studio room. Quick mention to Steven, Phil & Pille who looked after us very well.

Chester Weekend Break

from avebury27

We have just had an enjoyable weekend break at the Ramada Hotel in Chester. Having considered various options we decided on the Ramada and were not disappointed. All staff in the reception, bar and restaurant areas were extremely polite, helpful and courteous on all occasions and could not do enough to please.

We did take a previous Trip Advisors advice and booked a Studio Room which was well worth the small additional cost. Both the room and the bathroom were very spacious clean, modern and well appointed.

The breakfast had a good representation of cooked foods, fresh fruit, juices, cereal and breads.

The Park and Ride is only a 2 minute walk from the hotel and if you do not want to take dinner in the hotel then there is an excellent pub 200yds up the road with a large restaurant offering a good and varied menu.

Well recommended and we will return.

Withou Fail- Only Stay In Studio Rooms!

from sarah20

Having worked for Ramada for a number of years i have stayed at many of their hotels and this is a fine example.

However, regardless of price DO NOT book the standard rooms, simply go to the travel lodge.

I arrived in Chester after a 4-hour car journey, to open the door to my room to find a shoe box, immediately walking back out i asked for another room, to be told they are pretty much the same size. It is not simply a case of small bedroom but a space with a bed in, the doorway being so narrow i had to walk into the bathroom and turn around to close the main door. this accommodation was simply not bearable and i paid for an upgrade to a studio with no trouble what so ever, which was divine!

For an extra £20 the room was twice the size with modern clean decor, a lovely marble bathroom and a spacey clothes storage area.

The rest of the hotel was impressive, food beautiful and above all.......the nicest staff ive yet to meet at a Ramada Jarvis i have stayed in so far. Nothing was a problem, and they all seemed eager to make sure everything was 110% to our satisfaction.

I WILL MOST DEFINATELY STAY HERE AGAIN, BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, NOT EVEN FOR AN HOUR WILL I STAY IN THE ECONOMY ROOMS, BE WARNED, SPEND THAT EXTRA ON AN UPGRADE OR YOU WILL REGREAT IT!

Excellent value, location and fabulous hospitality

from lovechester

From the very warm welcome, to the excellent location on the outskirts of the city..from the very comfortable well thought out modern bedroom to the relaxing leisure club..from the great bar to the superb breakfast..we really found no fault, and thought the team without exception are the best ever. Normally you find one tripping over their bottom lip, but not at Ramada. If you are looking for reasonable value and a great base, do not look any further!

Excellent stay

from anonymous

Hotel had all facilities you could need for a short stay. Leisure facilities were spot on, rooms were clean with irons, tea/coffee etc. Only complaint about the rooms was they were so so hot even with radiators turned off !!

Food at breakfast and evening meals were fab, plenty of choice and plenty of food.

Only a short distance from chester with a Park & Ride service about 100yards down the road.

Would receommend to anyone for a short stay.

Fab Wedding!

from Ilovehols

Stayed for one night following friends' wedding reception held in the hotel. Must say that the wedding was fab, everything ran smoothly and the service was spot on. Sat out on the patio in the garden supping champagne; lovely setting round the back. What a perfect day! Three course meal, buffet supper and breakfast was lovely. Did not spend much time in the room to be honest but they were clean and had enough of the right things like hair drier, ironing board, plenty of milk for coffee, white sheets etc. Enough for a short stay. The 4 out of 5 rating is for the room as

the only thing to note was that it was very hot in hotel and they did not have air conditioning in the rooms. I would give 5 out of 5 for the wedding!Overall had a great stay and the wedding was bloody brilliant!

Room and bed very small but reception modern

from anonymous

The first thing I noticed about this hotel was that the reception area was very modern. It looked like it had recentely been renovated. I checked in, and then I went up to my very small room. There wasn't much room to move and the bathroom was tiny, not good when trying to have a shower. The bed was also small and my feet hanged off of the end, so I had to sleep diagonally.

The breakfast the next morning was nice, and there was nothing to complain about there.

My conclusion: good for the short people in the world. Not so good for anyone above 6 foot.

Absolutely appalling service!

from Zana711

The Ramada Chester has been recently renovated and the executive studio rooms are of a good size. The standard rooms though are extremely small. Avoid this hotel at all cost if you're travelling on business as we found there are many other hotels in Chester (cheaper!) with better service and rooms. The service is absolutely appalling, everything from asking for a shower cap (no such amenity included in executive room - response was none available), a chair for work desk (surprisingly no chair in some executive rooms - response was no spare chairs) to no hot breakfast room service option (even if you are willing to pay extra).

My room faced the car park on ground floor which meant it was extremely noisy as well. My colleagues stayed in second floor rooms facing the back of the hotel which was less noisy.

What kind of a title is that? Well, would you believe that I didn't even get to complete the name of that town in Wales! We started the day with a ferry ride back across the Irish sea. It was rather uneventful; a group of us just sat around and chatted for 3 1/2 hours. David, of course, took as many pictures as he could. I spent money in the gift …
