About 3:00 and a very heavy thunderstorm descended on us with very heavy rain and lightning bouncing all around. Since the park is in a creek bottom, I have visions of our Airstream floating downstream. When the sun came up, however, there was no sign of standing water anywhere, and we were on the road by 8:00 am.
Yesterday after school we decided to see an Amarican Football game. We did not have any tickets, so we just headed to the stadium 90 minutes before the game should start to see if we could get some. Arriving near the stadium, there was a traffic jam. But we got the chance to buy 4 tickets from a guy walking around between the cars. Today I got up early to get the keys for our car, because we wanted to do a trip to the Whitewater Center. Before we could go we needed to get our new license plate on. The only problem was, we did not have the right screwdriver at out house. Because our friends in the other apartment, who have one, were still sleeping, we had to ask the guys from the maintenance service for help. After changing the license plate ...
... or get a replacement plane was made and work began to fix the windshield. At about 11:00 we were told that repairs were completed but our original flight crew had to be relieved to prevent them from exceeding their maximum hours worked in 24 hour period, so we had to wait until the relief crew could be notified and all get on-board. Finally, we took off again at about midnight. We arrived at CDG in Paris at 2:00 p.m local time.... 7 hours behind ...
... was asking to see it. What a moment!! We went t a sports bar to watch game 6 of the basketball it was really decked out and had screens in every direction you looked! (Miami won in the last 50seconds and now the final is on Thursday when we land in Miami so may try and get tickets). We trekked out and found the building that they use for the outside shot of friends and also visited the Tiffany and Co on Fifth avenue.. Heard it was big but was not expecting 6 levels ...
