Kiawah Island, South Carolina, United States nicsivToday we went to Charleston, We didn't make it there until almost 9:30, So we missed all the haunted jail tours that we wanted to go on. We did go to a really nice jazz club, with good music and cheap drinks.. Not to mention a really nice ...
Charleston, South Carolina, United States thedoyles... few days on the net. I had been planning to visit Savannah which is further south but couldn't find a hostel or reasonably priced hotel and seeing as there was only one bus in and one bus out a day from Charleston my options were slim. After looking at the options i could either get into Savannah at 5:30pm but didn't have anywhere to stay, get into Orlando at 4:30am but places to stay were way out and expensive or head to Miami and get in there at 7am the next day, so decided to do that ...

Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, United States nicandjessica... at me as if I were an alien. Clearly I didn’t belong there, that being how “funny looking” I was (a girl with short hair—omg it must be a lesbian!!!). I grabbed my Milky Way, threw my money at the cashier, and walked as fast as I could out of there.

The car crawled up to the given address of my sisters, and we gazed upon an antebellum style house, perfectly equipped with a side house for slaves. My 2 sisters live in the slave ...
Charleston, South Carolina, United States erinkoval... com/ We stopped by Sugar on the way back to the hotel and I picked up an almond iced cupcake. YUM! http://www.sugarbake.com/ Once we got back to the hotel, Darin was ready for a nap. So, we napped for about an hour before getting up to take a walk around town a bit. Just walked down King St. a ways then over to the water to watch the tug boats pull a container ship out of it's dock. Then headed back to the ...
Charleston, South Carolina, United States jennie... galleries. In the last few minutes of our time in Charleston we saw one of the coolest things of the whole trip, angel oak. It's the worlds oldest oak tree and it just sprawls everywhere. It is huge and even has a few limbs that grow into the ground. It's so old and heavy that a lot of limbs had to be supported with large metal stands. It also provided me with my favorite picture of the trip. More to come. Cheers, Josh
Charleston, South Carolina, United States jpcasey... city I have ever seen. It was lovely and picturesque without being touristy. All of the houses were so colorful, they all had balconies and fabulous ironworking. There were also wonderful churches all over Charleston, we must have seen 8 or 9 different beautiful churches. We walked all around downtown, stopping in a few of the great shops along the way, walked over to the shoreline park and looked out on ...
Charleston, South Carolina, United States zoehOur first port of call today was the Boone Hall Plantation. We were disappointed to discover that the house had been built in the 1930s - way too young to be considered a real Plantation house, even if it is on land that is still deemed to be a working plantation. We suspect that more income is derived from tourism than from farming with restoration of the dependencies being "work in progress ...
Charleston, South Carolina, United States tomodeaChristmas in Cleveland with family was the appetizer to a wonderful fare course traversing 1900 miles and seven states! We stopped first in Nashville to visit with a daughter and celebrate her upcoming birthday. Another overnight stop in Crossville, Tennessee gave us a chance to visit with old Cleveland friends. Then, on to the beach and New Year's Eve! We were House Sitting for a real estate agent in her gorgeous ...
