... s hard to explain - there was obviously so much more to explore and take in...... like unfinished business. Then...
The taxi driver asked us if we would be coming back again. When we replied "no", he knowingly said "You will be back! See you next year!"
What could we say??!
Maybe he knows something we don't....
... will exist in my backpack. This will take some getting used to I think! I also seem to have come down with a rather wonderful cold- still, better here than on arrival in Bangkok.
One week tomorrow- oh my god! I just can't believe its come around so soon, feels like yesterday it was just an idea and now its a week away. Still lots to sort out, scanning a million things I will probably ...
We arrive at Stansted at about 8pm and proceed to have a, probably, day old burger somewhere in the airport. Yum. Turns out that all the shops, in the departure lounge and outside, close at about 9pm so we have to sit around for 4 hours before our flight boards with nada to do.
Finally we get on the flight with a load of other backpacker types and head to Malaysia!
Yes folks,

... the Petronas Towers and in a popular tourist area. It was comfortable enough with a fantastic Malaysian breakfast which set me up for the day.
There was very little Tv coverage of the storms so at least where I am there are not problems. I shall stay in KL for a few days and then make my way to Thailand
FOOTNOTE I would recommend Air Asia which has an extensive network in the region. However do not dismiss Malaysian Airlines. ka i

We had a great discussion with him at the Royal Cambridge Hotel over a cold Guiness and creamed tea. I had the Guinness, Maggie had the tea. Creamed tea means they bring you scones and clotted cream with jam to eat with your tea. I tried one, too. Delicious. Over the next few weeks we are going to continue our discussions but it ...

Meeting up with my fellow traveller
Sarah at the airport, got a call from her this morning, again she is
excited, yet not as much as I imagined. I am sure that it will sink
in later today.
Well first stop is Bangkok and my it is
going to be amazing. Can't wait.
We awoke to a beautiful day in Cambridge. I'm a foreigner to these parts, and all I can say is that the place blew me away. It was fantastic. I love student towns. On the whole they have cooler shops and bars, are more liberal, and have lots of women who I can stare at. I'll just list the things I loved about Cambridge:
People cycling everywhere; the endless park ...
... sneak out in the garden though & built a proper snowman & marvelled at the garden under a couple of inches of snow. A little unusual for Easter but not uncommon for this time of year. TC, Renee & kids had a round of 10 pin bowling before lunch but JJ lost the plot & was out of sorts for the afternoon. We were joined in the afternoon by other family - Alan & Tina, Claire & Aunty Jean for afternoon lunch & it was a really nice time with ...
Bishop's Stortford, United Kingdom 72kelly... turned up 20mins late) complete with souveniers and sunburnt backside. im not sure iv mentioned before but a 'shuttle' is basically a 14 or so seater mini bus - its not as glam as it sounds! we reached la mesilla, the border with mexico, at about 11:30am or so piled off the shuttle and shuffled thru imigration (without having to pay the 20Q fee i'd been told about, result!) i then had arguments with 2 greasy guatemalans, both of whom were trying to charge me obscene amounts of ...
